Spring Teacher Appreciation Week


We have a new and dynamic faculty for the 2015-2016 school year.  We have three events where we will need your help in thanking our faculty for their dedication to our children.

Mon-Fri, May 2-6 TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK – Ms. Chevis has acquired a $750 Verizon grant to sponsor our week!   Teachers inspire our children to be the best that they can be.  They work tirelessly to pull out the creativity, the leadership skills and the tools necessary to be extraordinary people.   We want to honor our teachers for their dedication and commitment to us, the parents, and our students.  In order to make this a very successful week for our teachers, we need volunteers!

  • We need parent volunteers for a number of events throughout the week.  SIGNUP
  • GIFT CARDS – We want to give each of the faculty members (150) a gift card of at least $10.  Please go to LINK to commit to either getting gift cards/certificates donated or purchasing on behalf of PTSA.  SIGNUP

Thursday, September 3 TAILGATE PARTY – A supreme success with 130+ faculty, family, and friends! Highlights included sidewalk art from our faculty’s youngest kin, and a flash band performance!  Special thanks to parent Karen Lawrence’s leadership with coordinating volunteers, our Kohl’s volunteers and donation, and the countless parents that dropped off drinks, food, and stayed to help serve!

Alumni Josh was one of our Kohl’s volunteers that served drinks. His lovely girlfriend came along to meet his former teachers and help out!

Thursday, January 14  MID-SEMESTER LUNCH – This is an exam day and marks the end of the first semester.  49 donations including Mayor Roberson, Assistant Principal Ms. De Leon, Lowes Foods, and 46 families!  FOOD and VOLUNTEER SIGN UP  DROP OFF in Room 612 (not the office).  When entering the building from back lot go through the doors to the right.  7:20 -8:30 Shannon Hardy will be out back collecting items. Starting at 9:30 am Melise Mountcastle and Glenda Brooks will be working on room set up. Chairperson and Chef: Josie Van Dyke.
