Dear Parents,

Thank you Mona Chevis and VERIZON for your $750 grant for our spring Teacher Appreciation Week! Also the many thanks to all of the parents that jumped on board and helped us coordinate on Academic Recognition Night.  We have a new strategy to handle the big turn out!  So mark your calendars for Feb. 8, we have a plan to keep the lines short!

SUPPORT KNIGHTDALE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS IN NEED:

KHSCD Student Services is asking for faculty and parent help in sponsoring students and their parents that are in need. At this time 15 families have been identified.  They are asking for $10 gift cards to WalMart, Target, Food Lion, Loewes, Home Depot, Amazon, Lowes, or an other business that can provide essentials. DONOR’s CHOOSE PROJECTS NEED YOU:

Teacher, Ms. Stone, needs just $262 out of her $784 goal. She has a matching grant from “Our Community” if she is able to get the final $262. Her grant is to provide extra food and essential personal supplies for her many special education students that do not have snacks. Her classroom is their home, and she wants to have a cupboard full of the essentials.

Mr. Postley’s $521 project was funded on Dec. 11!  He will be purchasing work clothes for his students.

NEXT PTSA GENERAL MEETING Monday, Januarey(6-7pm)  in Media Center.  Check out our updated MEMBERSHIP PAGE!  Our increase in members has won us a few NCPTSA awards. We have 119 members and 200 on our Email list.   (64 parents, 39 students, and 14 teachers).
