Our teachers are making a difference! Here are a few words from our SGA President, Senior Crystal Villines.
“Knowing that my school has changed greatly, and still hasn’t finished transforming honestly excites me. Dr. Argent even allowed a few students last year, including myself to take impart on the upcoming changes. It should be known that last years class of 2015 had some of the highest increase graduation rates in the county really encourages and motivates me to look forward to my own graduation. Here at KHSCD our motto is “every student college ready”. Knowing that last year almost the entire class of students graduated, sets a record for this years graduation ranks and class to be even higher. Due to the major changes, such as capturing kids hearts, sets the pace for every student to feel comfortable at school with each teacher. Good things and handshaking everyday, create a classroom environment that is hardly experienced elsewhere, we become more than just peers and students, it’s family like. It also elates me in believing that I can make it out of high school.”

Food, in the end, in our own tradition, is something holy. It’s not about nutrients and calories. It’s about sharing. It’s about honesty. It’s about identity. – Louise Fresco
