February is an exciting month at KHSCD!

PARENTS IN SERVICE TO KHSCD:

• Donate to the DANCE CONCESSIONS. 2/8 by 9pm SIGN UP
• Donate to the FACULTY BREAKFAST. 2/15 by 7am SIGN UP

There will be a WINTER DANCE this Friday 2/8 for all KHSCD students.  The dance is free for any student.  It will start after the last basketball game this Friday night (9:30pm).  The DJ will be in the small gym.  There will be light concessions sold at $1 per item.

Please support a FACULTY BREAKFAST on Friday, February 15th.  Please send in treats by 7am.  All items can be taken to the office.  Please note this is an early release day for students, but teachers have meetings all afternoon.

ACADEMICS – This is the month to help your child imagine their senior year, and make a plan on the path to this epic moment.

• PSAT scores are on the horizon. Be on the look out.  Resource explaining the scores.
• Wednesday, 2/13 6-8pm  Wake Tech INFO Night   Remember all students can take FREE Wake Tech classes starting with the fall of their junior year.  The classes are free through the summer after their senior year.  High School Career and College Promise
• Wednesday, 2/20  ACT Test
• Thursday, 2/28 Rising Freshman – 12th grade, Curriculum kNight – Scheduling support for all grade levels will be offered! Course Registration Guides (Will be updated with this year’s materials soon.)

CARE DEPOT – Our Care Depot is in dire need!

Last December the PTO and local community rallied to insure that 57 of our neediest students had holiday gifts.  Special thanks to Mrs. Beasley’s (Future Farmers of America) for making and selling wreaths! They donated the full $300 to the Giving Tree!

Current needed items include shampoo, lotion, deodorant, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and school supplies.  Items can be dropped off to student services anytime during school hours.
